Alpha Omicron Pi held its annual Mr. Fraternity pageant show at the Performing Arts Center on Sunday, May 19. With members from 13 fraternities competing, they raised more than $10,000 for their philanthropy, the Arthritis Foundation.

The Cal Poly Students with Dependents program held its first-ever “Bring Your Kid to College Day'' on Thursday at the Plant Conservatory. A spin on the classic, “Bring Your Child to Work Day,” students, faculty, and staff were encouraged to bring their families to meet others in the Cal Poly community.

Margot Sinclair, a local band of five Cal Poly students, won Shabang’s annual “Battle of the Bands'' competition on Thursday evening at the Fremont Theatre. The winning group earned a spot to play in this year's Shabang Live Music & Arts Festival and a cash prize of $1000.
