17 dancers glided across the stage as if they were in a long dream in the opening sequence of the Polaris Dance Concert, with music that the choreographer Emily Olster hoped to be “a little bit strange.”

Cal Poly ASI is bringing American rapper Swae Lee to perform at Cal Poly on Wednesday in a concert free for students. The night will open with a student DJ duo: agriculture business junior Ben Martin and business administration junior Carlton Brown.

Cal Poly hosted the 38th annual California State University Student Research Competition on April 26 and 27 in the Engineering Plaza. Bringing people from all 23 Cal State campuses to present their research, this competition featured about 200 presentations and more than 500 participants.

On Sunday, April 14 at 12 p.m., Cal Poly students and non-student attendees filled the auditorium in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) to watch the TEDx event organized by event planner Amanda Holder and Head Football Athletic Trainer at Cal Poly Prince Williams. Cal Poly students and visitors stormed the streets on Saturday morning dressed in festive green outfits for St. Fratty’s Day.

The third weekend of San Luis Obispo Police Department’s (SLOPD) St. Patrick’s Day safety enhancement zone (SEZ) began at 12:01 am on Friday, March 15 and ended at 7 a.m. on Monday. During SEZ, fines for noise violations, unruly gatherings, open containers and public urination are doubled.
