Katy Clark is a news reporter and a journalism major. She is very passionate about journalism and loves to write stories about the community she lives in. She wants to be a reporter after college and says gaining the experience in Mustang News has been super helpful for her. She has loved the experience so far of reporting on breaking and interesting news around campus. In her free time, she likes to read, watch TV, run, and hang out with her friends and family. She was born in Ohio, moved to Texas when she was eight, then moved to California when she was in high school. She currently lives in the Atlanta, Georgia area and she has triplet older siblings and a dog named Minnie.

Campus Dining surveying students on dining options with new HappyorNot Machine

In the middle of October, Campus Dining implemented the HappyorNot Machine in the Vista Grande Dining Hall to get feedback from students about their dining experiences. With a set of emoticon faces ranging from happy to sad, each participant who chose to do the survey could choose a face and provide written feedback.

Guest speaker leads “Toltequity” presentation to discuss ancient Toltec knowledge

On Friday, Oct. 6, Armando Cruz Sanchez, a practitioner of Toltec knowledge, hosted a Zoom from his home right outside of Oaxaca, Mexico to discuss the history of the indigenous communities there. 

His presentation included information about Toltequity, the Toltec pyramid of growth, Toltec Cosmonomy and the modern approach to Totequity Kinam.
