For the first time in program history, Cal Poly Beach Volleyball earned four All-American selections in the latest AVCA poll. Only two other schools, UCLA and Stanford, had four selections as well.

The Mustangs’ No. 1 duo, sophomore Izzy Martinez and redshirt sophomore Ella Connor, both earned the First Team All-American title. Freshman Erin Inskeep and junior Piper Ferch earned Second Team honors as the team’s No. 2 duo.

Connor and Martinez, who peaked as the second-best duo in the country, boast a 25-8 record, which includes seven victories against ranked teams. They now rank ninth heading into the NCAA tournament, according to College Beach Volleyball

Inskeep is the third Mustang freshman to make an All-American Team. Connor, as a true freshman, previously made First Team All-American in 2022 and Tia Miric made it in 2018.

Ferch and Inskeep have been hot, winning nine of their last ten matches. They also have eight wins against ranked teams and have a 28-5 record.

The Mustangs’ postseason continues Friday in the NCAA Tournament as the No. 5 seed. They play Arizona State at 8 a.m. and all the games will be televised on ESPNU.
