Alpha Omicron Pi holds Mr. Fraternity, raises more than $10,000 for philanthropy

Alpha Omicron Pi held its annual Mr. Fraternity pageant show at the Performing Arts Center on Sunday, May 19. With members from 13 fraternities competing, they raised more than $10,000 for their philanthropy, the Arthritis Foundation.

Cal Poly Students with Dependents hosts “Bring Your Kid to College Day”

The Cal Poly Students with Dependents program held its first-ever “Bring Your Kid to College Day” on Thursday at the Plant Conservatory. A spin on the classic, “Bring Your Child to Work Day,” students, faculty, and staff were encouraged to bring their families to meet others in the Cal Poly community.

Margot Sinclair wins San Luis Obispo’s Battle of the Bands, secures spot on Shabang lineup

Margot Sinclair, a local band of five Cal Poly students, won Shabang’s annual “Battle of the Bands” competition on Thursday evening at the Fremont Theatre. The winning group earned a spot to play in this year’s Shabang Live Music & Arts Festival and a cash prize of $1000.
