San Luis Obispo Police Department cuts use of force in half this year

In previous years, San Luis Obispo police officers used force about 50 times a year. This year, police reduced their use of force by about half, according to Police Chief Deanna Cantrell.

Lower crime rates for WOW 2019

Crime rates decreased, but with five arrests, 14 alcohol and drug related medical aids, 54 fire alarm incidents and 81 noise complaints, the freshmen’s first week in the city of San Luis Obispo was anything but quiet.
