When junior math major Rachel Keels first came to Cal Poly, she felt she needed a place to be heard. Roe v. Wade was in the process of being overturned, and it was weighing heavily on Keels. As a woman in STEM, it was difficult for her to find a comfortable place to discuss the issue.

Alpha Omicron Pi holds Mr. Fraternity, raises more than $10,000 for philanthropy

Alpha Omicron Pi held its annual Mr. Fraternity pageant show at the Performing Arts Center on Sunday, May 19. With members from 13 fraternities competing, they raised more than $10,000 for their philanthropy, the Arthritis Foundation.

Theta Chi raises $15,600 in philanthropy dance competition

After selling out more than 1,200 seats in the Performing Arts Center (PAC), Cal Poly Theta Chi raised 15,600 dollars through Sorority Best Dance Competition (SBDC) for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo organization according to Alumni Chair Dylan Glass.

Rapper Swae Lee to perform in ASI concert

Cal Poly ASI is bringing American rapper Swae Lee to perform at Cal Poly on Wednesday in a concert free for students. The night will open with a student DJ duo: agriculture business junior Ben Martin and business administration junior Carlton Brown.

Cal Poly Esports to host Grand Finals of SLO Valorant Champions Tour

According to a discord post detailing the regular season, the grand finals are the culmination of a six week season where ten teams composed of 50 Cal Poly students and alumni faced off playing weekly matches for circuit points with the end goal of being seeded into the playoffs.

When the time arrived to pick a college, Christian Cueto had three main criteria: A good engineering program, a good surrounding area and the ability to keep playing music. Cal Poly checked his boxes and the band especially was “a huge reason why I came here.”
